New York City is often seen as a concrete jungle. But on this tour we will explore pockets of greenery that provide an oasis to New York’s hectic life. We tour the Conservatory Garden of Central Park, known for its extraordinary floral displays, hundreds of annual and perennial varieties and eighty-year old crabapple allées. No garden visit to New York would be complete without a visit to the widely acclaimed High Line of Piet Oudolf. Tour New York Botanical Garden, one of the greatest botanical gardens in the world. We will have tours of the gardens on Staten Island. We will also explore a community garden, a rooftop farm and more. Join us!
OREGON GARDENS: PORTLAND, SALEM AND THE WILLAMETTE VALLEY
We invite you to join us as we explore the diverse and beautiful gardens of Oregon. On this tour we will learn the difference between a Japanese garden and a Chinese garden, see the oldest rose garden in the U.S., and visit specialist gardens where dahlias and clematis bloom. We will discover historical gardens such as Deepwood Gardens designed in 1929 by the first women’s landscape architecture firm in the Pacific Northwest. View a garden started by a pharmacist and a botanist who discovered five new plant species unknown to western science at the time. Our itinerary includes a balance of gardens and history with visits to the Willamette Heritage Center and the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
ARGENTINA WILDLIFE FROM MARSHES TO PATAGONIA
On this journey, learn about the native and exotic trees of Buenos Aires and explore the abundant life of the Costanera Sur Nature Reserve located in the middle of this cosmopolitan city. Take a horseback ride and boat tour through the Estancia Rincon del Socorro, a former cattle ranch turned nature reserve, home to over 350 bird species and wildlife as capybara and caiman. Walk through Rockhopper and Magellanic Penguin colonies on the Isla Pinquino, and tour the Deseado River Estuary, one of the richest biological areas in Patagonia with four species of cormorants, seals, and dolphins. Visit the Petrified Woods and sea lion colonies of Bahia Bustamante. End with a journey to witness the magnificent southern right whales in their natural habitat off the Peninsula Valdes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your tour host for this tour is Leslie Tuchek.

Devon and Cornwall are well known for dramatic coastlines, beautiful beaches and panoramic English countryside. Both are home to spectacular gardens due to a warm climate year-round and abundant rainfall. Our tour visits some of the finest gardens in these two counties. In Devon we visit the RHS Rosemoor Garden, Coleton Fishacre and the National Trust Knightshayes Court. In Cornwall we visit the award-winning Lost Gardens of Heligan, the futuristic Eden Project and Tregothnan tea plantation. The gardens range from ancient to modern, formal to informal, from English woodlands to historic parkland. There are gardens with Mediterranean, sub-tropical and South African themes. Devon and Cornwall may have a garden for every type of gardener!
